REGINA - The City of Regina is giving residents a faster way to access important public safety information.
'Notifynow,' launched by the Regina Fire and Protection Service, is a notification system designed to warn residents of closeby threats to health, safety and property.
In a statement, Mayor Chad Bachynski said, "ensuring the safety and well-小蓝视频 of residents is our top priority."
Fire Chief Layne Jackson said 'notifynow' aligns with their efforts to ensure residents get timely and accurate information.
The system will provide public safety information to residents in the aftermath of extreme weather.
"It also notifies subscribers of evacuation or shelter-in-place orders, major fires, city-wide service disruptions, boil water advisories, tornado touchdowns in residential areas and nearby warming/cooling spaces during blizzards and extreme heat waves."
The city says residents have to sign up to receive texts, calls or emails. on their website.
