OSI-CAN launches fundraiser to support personnel with OSI, PTSD

OSI-CAN has launched a by April 15 to continue providing critical mental health support for veterans and public safety personnel struggling with operational stress injuries (OSI) and PTSD.

The organization, which has been supporting frontline workers since 2016, offers a range of programs designed to help individuals cope with the lasting effects of their service. These include peer support groups, service dogs, family support programs, Indigenous healing ceremonies, and horse-assisted learning.

Last year, provided more than 4,000 care opportunities to 947 individuals, helping every day public safety personnel and veterans across Canada, giving hope and healing to those who need it most.

Without additional funding, essential programs could be scaled back, leaving many without the support they rely on.

A donation of $50 can fund a support group session, while $250 can provide therapy for someone in need. A $1,000 contribution can help a public safety worker acquire a life-changing service dog.

"Every dollar matters," said OSI-CAN Director and veteran Julius Brown. "Even a small donation combined with others can support vital services. Together, we can ensure that no frontline protector feels abandoned or without hope."

Tax-deductible donations can be made through the OSI-CAN donation platform. The organization is also encouraging supporters to share the campaign with others who are passionate about the well-小蓝视频 of veterans and first responders.
