UNITY--Unity’s fire chief, Dwaine Kopp, issues this reminder, “We reported to a small kitchen fire, which is a reminder that even microwaves can cause a fire if the timer is set for too long.”
Microwaves also should not have metallic material in them during operation.
The Unity Fire Department also reported to three lift assists and one motor vehicle accident in February.
Kopp also reports, “We finally got some new lockers for the fire hall. This provides a much better option for our gear to dry properly.”
The former lockers were made of particle board, and incurred rotting at the bottom from wet protective suits 小蓝视频 hung over the years, so were not salvageable. The new lockers were budgeted for and built by Heitt's Welding with the volunteer firefighters installing the units themselves.
