Humboldt ministerial message: Gratitude for the victories and challenges of the year

"There have been victories and there have been challenges. But someway, somehow we have been able to pull through and see this time of year again." — Reverend Araba Quaye

There have been victories and there have been challenges. But someway, somehow we have been able to pull through and see this time of year again.
As we enter into the thanksgiving season, we pause and reflect on so much that has happened over the past year.

There have been victories and there have been challenges. But someway, somehow we have been able to pull through and see this time of year again. It is by the grace of God and it is something that we should remember and be grateful for.

According to scripture, showing our gratitude and appreciation to the Lord is one of the greatest things we can do. Psalm 50:23 (NLT) says, “But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honours me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” In other words this scripture tells us that when we are grateful and express it to the Lord as we follow Him, He is pleased and He in turn provides deliverance, victory, safety, prosperity and welfare on our behalf. The power of thankfulness and gratitude has the capacity to change our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state.

The food and time of fellowship with family and friends is wonderful but we cannot forget to appreciate the One whom our very lives are dependent on. He is our life source. He is referred to as the Ancient of Days, The Everlasting Father, God Almighty and the Good Shepherd.

I’d invite you to say this prayer with me if you have never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour. Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me of my sin. I believe that Jesus died for me and was resurrected on the third day. I declare Jesus Lord over my life. I thank you for unfolding the gift of your salvation as I live a life of gratitude. Thank you for hearing my prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.
