NIPAWIN — The midway, light horse show, beef show, parade, chuckwagon and chariots, 3-D barrel racing, and more are returning to the 2022 Nipawin Exhibition after a two-year hiatus.
Avery Ens, vice-president of the Nipawin Exhibition Association’s, said their goal is to make the event the same as it was pre-pandemic, with minor improvements including changes to the food areas to help clean out crowd congestion.
“[We’re] basically bringing the fair that everyone remembers back to life,” Ens said.
“We’re really striving to make it family friendly as always, that there will be a bit of everything for everybody.”
The event this year will take place from July 18 to 20. The light horse and 3-D barrel racing will go on over the three days.
Ens said they’re in the final stages of an overhaul on their website , which is expected to be completed by the end of March. Once completed, it will be the online hub for the shows entry forms.
The Association is currently in the process of selecting vendors.
“We’re trying to put something together in five months where usually it takes a year to organize it,” she said. “Right now the big thing is trying to book some of the associations because everybody has had a bit of a rough year.”
In the meantime, Ens said the place for the most up-to-date information is their . Those wanting to volunteer or join the parade are asked to message the page.
The street fair is 小蓝视频 co-organized by the Town of Nipawin, and will take place on July 17.
Derek Seckinger, Nipawin’s program co-ordinator, said the street fair will include a car show, food booths, beer garden, bouncy castles, and potentially a sidewalk sale in collaboration with local businesses.
He said it will also have live music, which the town is currently in the process of organizing.
“It will be a great time and it will be at no charge,” Seckinger said. “Hopefully the weather co-operates.”
