NIPAWIN — The Nipawin Lions will be holding their first trade show since the pandemic began, marking a return to the club’s major fundraisers.
Brian Starkell, Nipawin Lions president, said that while they do expect to be smaller than past years, over 25 vendors have confirmed attendance. This includes carriers of household items, automotive dealerships, and farm machinery.
“I think the public is wanting something to get out [to] instead of 小蓝视频 cooped in the house— getting out and looking at some of the old events we used to have. So we’re excited to host it,” Starkell said. “Hopefully everybody can come out and have a coffee and get caught up on what’s happening the last couple years since we haven’t had a show.”
The event typically raises $15,000, but has earned upwards of $20,000 for the club through table fees in past years with vendors from Saskatoon, Porcupine Plain, Hudson Bay, Tisdale and even Prince Albert.
Starkell said they aren’t putting a specific fundraising goal on for this year, with the club expecting a lower turnout due to the pandemic.
“We just want to make sure we can get the tradeshow there and get it rebuilt for the interest of the community.”
The tradeshow will take place on April 1-3, 2022 at the Evergreen Centre.
