MELFORT — Training for the upcoming season can resume for the Melfort Mustangs, as they have been cleared to do so by health authorities, the team announced.
"All COVID-19 tests administered to members of the Mustangs this week have come back negative and there is no risk of the spread of the virus," the team said in a Sept. 30 release. "We would like to thank all the organizations for working closely and diligently with us. The Melfort Mustangs will continue to follow the public health measures. We look forward to resuming all normal day to day activities immediately."
On Sept. 25, the team annocued that one of its players tested postive for COVID-19. The Northern Lights Palace Arena and Kerry Vickar Centre were closed down to allow for an enhanced cleaning. Both are now reopened.
