HUMBOLDT — An assault charge was dropped for Humboldt Broncos Assistant Coach Curtis Toneff.
Crown prosecutors called for a stay in proceedings at Humboldt Provincial Court on Aug. 17.
Saskatchewan RCMP said he was charged June 2 for an incident on May 24. No further details were revealed by the police.
Toneff was suspended from his duties with the Humboldt Broncos due to the charges. The team said in a release Aug. 17 that as a result of the stay in proceedings, Toneff may resume his duties.
