It was a great experience for a local musician. Gerard Weber, a saxophone player from Humboldt, recently placed second in his category in the National Music Festival in Antigonish, Nova Scotia August 11-13.

It will be the first time local artist Karen Holden has exhibited at the Hand Wave Gallery in Meacham.

On July 13, music of the Romantic era filled Assumption Church in Marysburg when pianist Richard Konrad gave a recital of works by Schubert, Beethoven, Liszt and Bartok. It was the closing concert of the 2011 Marysburg Festival of the Arts.
