It was a packed house on Friday night at St. Dominic鈥檚 gym for the first annual Ukrainian dance recital to take place in Humboldt after many years.

There are a lot of things about fiddling that people in these parts love, but there鈥檚 going to be more to love with the show that will be coming to town on May 15.

Dance artists and educator Ashley Johnson is well known in the Battlefords for working with school children and encouraging adult interest in contemporary dance, and this Saturday she will be performing at The Gog.

It鈥檚 springtime again, which means music students from around the region are coming to Humboldt to participate in the 78th annual music festival.

Another major No.1-country act is coming to the Battlefords and to Gold Eagle Casino at the end of the month.

One of Saskatoon's hottest bands, the Saskatoon Legendary Rhythm and Blues Revue, will be playing at the Sloan Auditorium in North Battleford May 2.

Battlefords Community Players have begun the performance of the last play of the 2014-15 season. Trad had its premiere night Tuesday and will be playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts.

Dancers from around the province will be congregating on Humboldt to compete in the annual OnStage Dance Festival, which will take place at the Uniplex from April 23 to 26.
