Mrs. Florence May Vetterl, 80 years of Watson and formerly of Spalding passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Humboldt District Hospital. Florence was born on December 3, 1929 to John & Emma (nee Johnson) Vetterl at the homestead east of Spalding.

Mud and smoke filled the air, making the crowd go wild at the 39th annual JCI Demolition Derby. The derby was held on June 27, during the annual Humboldt Summer Sizzler and rodeo. There were 30 entries from across the province in the event.
