Blockade headache

The June 24 blockade of the highway running between Battleford and North Battleford, had motorists uttering a loud chorus of coarse words. Blockades have that effect on people.

WDM volunteer Wells honored

A longtime volunteer with the Western Development Museum was honoured Thursday. Edwin Wells has been active with the museum since 1985, volunteering on average 120 hours a month or 1,140 hours a year.

Jail for Night in Queen's robbery

The man who pled guilty to the Jan. 21 robbery of the Queen's Hotel in Battleford was sentenced to five and a half years behind bars Tuesday. Carter Night had earlier pled guilty to robbery and four other charges.
