REGINA - The Saskatchewan Party has announced that Blaine McLeod has been nominated to be their candidate in the Lumsden-Morse byelection.
McLeod is a longtime dairy farmer who operates Caroncrest Farms Ltd. with his son, and serves as the Saskatchewan Director with Dairy Farmers of Canada. He won a contested nomination over two other candidates June 8.
“Thank you to the residents of Lumsden-Morse for placing your trust in me tonight,” McLeod said in a news release. “I look forward to hitting the road this summer to meet with constituents across our riding.”
McLeod has also paid tribute to former 小蓝视频 Lyle Stewart who resigned this year.
“I’d like to thank Lyle Stewart for his 24-years of exceptional service to our constituency,” McLeod said. “As an 小蓝视频, I would continue that good work and ensure that Lumsden-Morse continues to have a strong voice at the table.
The nomination means the Sask Party has all of its candidates in place for the upcoming byelections, which are expected to be held this summer.
