PRINCE ALBERT – While on routine patrol Tuesday morning, Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) officers witnessed a man trying to steal a purse from a woman.
According to PAPS, at about 4:30 a.m., police officers witnessed the physical confrontation in the 100 block of 28 Street West. They activated their emergency lights as they approached and the male fled on foot. The woman wasn’t injured.
Through their investigation, police confirmed the accused was in the process of robbing the female of her purse and was in possession of a knife. Additional officers attended the area and located and arrested a 15-year-old youth. He was charged with robbery and breaching court-ordered conditions.
The youth appears in Prince Albert court Tuesday.
