PRINCE ALBERT – A 53-year-old Prince Albert man accused of making and possessing child pornography is headed to trial.
Troy Lester was arrested in June 2022 after Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Prince Albert Police Service patrol officers executed a search warrant at a home.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 8 but didn't proceed and the case went directly to King's Bench instead. The trial date will be set in Prince Albert Court of King’s Bench at a later date.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
