Update: Owners of dogs at large near Balgonie found

Pair of canines have been chasing and killing deer in the area.

BALGONIE – Update: The owners of dogs near Balgonie and St. Joseph's that had been chasing and killing deer have been identified.

According to an advisory from the Ministry of Corrections, Policing, and Public Safety, conservation officers have met with the owners of the dogs. This was accomplished through the assistance of the public providing information in the case.

Original report: Conservation officers are asking for public assistance in relation to two dogs at large killing deer in the Balgonie and St. Joseph's areas.

"One dog appears to be a Great Pyrenees and the second is a tan-coloured large breed," said a Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory sent in the early evening of March 9.

If anyone has information regarding the owner of the dogs, they are asked to contact the Saskatchewan Turn In Poachers & Polluters line at 1-800-667-7561 or #5555 from a SaskTel cell phone.
