Mental health services and supports are readily available to Saskatchewan residents who need them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health care reinforcements are on the way in Manitoba.

Social Services Minister Paul Merriman announced in a press conference Tuesday the provinces plan to support Saskatchewan鈥檚 most vulnerable citizens during the COVID-19 crisis.

As of March 31, 2020, Saskatchewan has eight new, confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 184. Four people are currently in hospital, with three receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

Today, the Government of Saskatchewan announced the Ministry of Social Services Pandemic Response.

Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Manitoba, moving the total count of positive tests in the province to 103 in total. Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba chief public health officer, announced the new cases in a media briefing March 31.

One of the first two deaths from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan was an individual from just outside the Battlefords area. The individual was Alice Grove, 75. Her name was made public Tuesday morning on John Gormley鈥檚 radio show.
