The Sturgis Composite High School class of 1969 held its 50th year class reunion on July 27.

The Town of Preeceville is scheduled to host a byelection with five nominees set for September 18 at the Preeceville Community Legion Hall. Advance polls will be held September 14.

The 21st annual Field of Dreams open day was held by Prairie Soil Services on July 25, along with partners Lindgren Farms, Bayer Crop Science, ATP Nutrition and Pattison Agriculture.

The new Preeceville Gateway Co-op Home Centre, C-store and lumber store became a reality with a sod turning СÀ¶ÊÓƵ at the card lock location on August 12.

The Town of Preeceville will be holding a byelection for one Councillor position on September 18. The Call for Nominations opened on July 18 with nominations closing on August 14 at 4 p.m. stated Lorelei Karcha, administrator.

Stacey Strykowski of Preeceville has declared her intention to seek the NDP nomination for the Canora-Pelly constituency.

The Anaka family of Stenen had a pleasant surprise when they woke up on the morning of August 15 to see their child's quad and some tools had been returned after СÀ¶ÊÓƵ stolen from their farm near Stenen.

Rawhides in Stenen hosted its fourth annual car show recently. The well-known restaurant had an area of its campground set up for the annual car-show and shine, with its stage set up with artists playing ‘60’s music all afternoon.

On July 22, the Invermay branch of the Parkland Regional Library (PRL) hosted the official kick-off of a program designed to assist seniors and other community members in developing computer skills.

With the end of summer students in the Good Spirit School Division will be heading back to school on September 3. Preeceville School staff will include Leslea Hanson as she takes over vice-principal position.
