The Preeceville School sent 15 students to the Cherrydale Cross-Country Meet in Yorkton on September 9 and had six finishes in the top 10 of their respective age categories. Sean Paligan placed 铿 rst in the midget boys category.

Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy officially opened

On September 10, the Western Conservation Law Enforcement Academy was launched for the 铿乺st time in Saskatchewan with 26 new conservation officer recruits taking part in a 16week training program.

July building permits skyrocket for a record

Building permits in Saskatchewan took a huge jump in July, up 59.8 per cent over June (seasonally adjusted), the highest percentage increase among the provinces. On the national front, permits dropped 0.6 per cent over the same period.
