Internet and technology safety was the focus of numerous presentations at the Preeceville School. Students from kindergarten to Grade 12 were divided into age-related classroom groups with the intention to educate students hosted on April 21.

Hospital auxiliaries from across the District 3 region attended the annual Saskatchewan Health Care auxiliaries association annual meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Preeceville Hospital Auxiliary at the Club 60 on April 20.

Teams from Preeceville, Sturgis, Kamsack and Norquay battled for the opportunity to advance to districts in Yorkton in senior pre-district badminton play on April 19. Preeceville School hosted the event with players in singles and doubles facing off.

The Crossroads Credit Union hosted an annual informational banquet meeting at the Sturgis Community Hall on April 18. The meeting was one of three, with the others СÀ¶ÊÓƵ held in Margo on April 19 and in Canora on April 20.

Members of the Sturgis Archery Club participated in the Junior Olympic Program indoor provincial meet in Prince Albert on April 15 and 16.

Several local hockey players participated in the Bantam SaskFirst Tournament during the weekend in Regina.
