PREECEVILLE — A 40 year old Preeceville woman has been charged with attempted murder after Canora RCMP investigated a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 49 in Preeceville.
In a media release, Canora RCMP said their investigation determined the woman threatened to injure two other women before driving toward them, striking one of them.
The woman who was hit was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening, police said.
The driver left the scene but was located and arrested later that evening.
Crissa Kisser of Preeceville has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a weapon, one count of failing to stop after accident causing bodily harm, one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, and two counts of uttering threats.
Police said she has been has been remanded into custody until her next appearance in Canora Provincial Court.
The RCMP added a collision reconstructionist assisted in this investigation.
