OUTLOOK - A youth hockey team will be giving it all they've got this Friday night at the Jim Kook Rec Plex in the hopes of advancing even further in provincials action.
Playing in the Provincial 'C' ranking, the Under-13 Outlook Ice Hawks, coaching staff and a number of parent chaperones hopped on a bus and ventured to Hudson Bay so that the team could take on the hosting Hunters on Saturday, February 23 in Game 1 of the series.
By the time the final buzzer sounded, both teams had racked up an impressive point collection of seven goals apiece, meaning that this game would end in a tie. Should that happen again in the second game between these two rosters, Hockey Saskatchewan dictates that a third mini game will be played immediately following the regular game.
Both teams are no doubt hoping for a much different outcome when Game 2 is played this coming Friday night, February 28 back in Outlook with a game time of 6:30.
The winning team advances in the tournament and faces the winner of the game series between Maidstone and Unity.
