OUTLOOK - Officials are hoping that local residents will help make the town of Outlook look all the more inviting and vibrant over the coming spring and summer months.

As a participant in the Communities in Bloom program, which ranks towns and village across the country based on general appearance and eye-pleasing aesthetics, the aim is to encourage the population to do all it can to help beautify the town in the hopes that an impressive score will be awarded to the riverside community.

The goal of the CiB program is to inspire communities to enhance and sustain the visual appeal of a town's neighbourhoods, public spaces, parks and streetscapes through a number of things, including the usage of flowers, plants, and trees, as well as the preservation of heritage and cultural assets and attention to environmental stewardship.

One of the key parts of the program is the evaluation of communities, and work is carried out in such communities to engage citizens of all ages, as well as service groups, businesses, and associations in an effort to succeed and be recognized by the judges. During these evaluations, CiB's volunteer judges generate ideas for communities and will routinely help recognize the assets that a community may already have.

With that in mind, the town of Outlook's Parks & Recreation department has some incentives in mind for local residents to help them in their efforts to be recognized in the Communities in Bloom program.

A number of contests are 小蓝视频 run by the Town for residents to take part in, encouraging them to help show off their pride in calling Outlook home.

The contests include one for Best Garden Selection, Storefront Window Art with a town-centric theme of "Irrigation Capital of Saskatchewan", and Business Floral Display, which encourages business owners to display a floral arrangement in their storefronts.
