20th anniversary marks when Myrol, fellow Mounties were murdered

Family shares a few words on the anniversary of beloved son's tragic on-duty passing.

OUTLOOK - It’s hard to believe that it has been 20 years since that horrible day, but it has. Four young men, Mounties, were murdered in cold blood.

Over the years, the people of Canada have shown us tremendous kindness. For that we thank you very much.

We sincerely thank the Outlook RCMP Detachment for keeping Brock’s memory alive with the annual Brock Myrol Golf Tournament.

Please take a moment on March 3 to remember Tony, Peter, Leo and Brock. They gave it all. They couldn’t have given more. Remember their sacrifice.

Here’s a link to a YouTube memorial song just below entitled, “Heroes” by Brock’s dad Keith Myrol and his sister Kalhanie:

We ask radio to play and feature the song every March 3 to truly make this a national memorial.

This song was first aired across Canada on March 3, 2006, the first anniversary of the tragedy as a national memorial.

Please continue to support the RCMP, all police forces across Canada, and our military. As Brock used to say, they are our first, last, and only line of defense.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
The family of Cst. Brock Warren Myrol
