Nearly half a year after the process began, Yorkton Council brought its 2021 Capital and Operating Budgets before an open meeting Monday.

For the life of me, I couldn’t comprehend it. Quiet trees. Utter silence. Dead noise. I swear, I couldn’t come up with anything. I just shouted and listened to my voice in the background. I suppose there’s no nice way of putting it.

Discussions are taking place which may see some lab work currently carried out at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, at least temporarily, be sent to Regina. The situation is an interesting one, on a couple of levels.

Last week, the Hasbro toy company announced some, well, let’s just call it ‘interesting’ news surrounding one of its most well-known figures for close to 70 years. It seems as if Mr. Potato Head has gone ‘gender neutral’, at least in name.

Burdening Future Generations Building up government debts with annual deficits is financially and morally wrong. Canada’s national debt recently passed 1 trillion dollars, doubling in the last decade! Yet Canadian GST is only 5%.

It goes by many different names and timelines but the idea is the same—kickstarting the removal of clutter than seems to be an issue for many individuals and families.

Just thirteen months ago, who could have imagined the things Canadians are experiencing right now? Undone by a microscopic enemy, we scarcely recognize ourselves as the indomitable Western society that so confidently entered 2020.
