Dear Editor:On behalf of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, I commend the City of Yorkton and the Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing for a well organized plan to provide assistance to the citizens and businesses affected by the flooding event July 1.
For years, Yorkton has been a community where the residents pull together to help each other, responding quickly to emergencies. The flood of 2010 is yet another example of this community spirit.
