Young U7 hockey players from Canora, Preeceville and Norquay got together at the Canora Civic Centre for the Hockey Sask U7 Cross Ice Jamboree on Dec. 14.

OHS once again has a thriving ball program on their local court.

The Canora black team won three straight round robin game to qualify for the A Final, where they were defeated by the Moosomin Rangers, the tournament champions.

The Canora Cobras continued their strong start to the SEHL season, winning 10-1 in Preeceville Dec. 13, and 8-5 at Theodore the next evening.

In a back-and-forth battle between the local Brandon Zuravloff rink and the Rick Kinaschuk foursome of Benito, Man., Zuravloff pulled out the win in an extra end.

Sunday afternoon the teams met a second time at the Westland Insurance Arena.

Since there are a lot of players in Canada, Luigi Di Serio said the Crusaders have a good pool of domestic talent from which to build a team.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed former college standout receiver/return Ja’Marcus Bradley. Bradley, who is 6-foot-1-inch, most recently was on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice roster.

The daylong event welcomed teams from Saskatoon, Warman, Aberdeen, Delisle, and the Battlefords.
