YORKTON - Defence was most certainly the name of the game as the Kindersley Klippers rolled into the Westland Insurance Arena Tuesday to take on the Yorkton.

The defences were so stingy in fact that neither team could find the twine as the teams played through a scoreless first period.

The scoreboard was finally put to use early in the second stanza when the Klippers opened the scoring. Logan Cox potted what was his seventh of the season at 4:36, making it 1-0 Kindersley.

The Klippers would take that lead into the third period, but midway through the period the Terriers knotted the score as Dylan Ruptash scored his 10th goal of the season to even the game 1-1. The marker came at 10:52.

The deadlock held through the remainder of regulation time sending the two teams to overtime where Dalton Mayes found the winner for the host Terriers at 2:46 for a 2-1 overtime win.

Caleb Allen was in net for the Terriers facing 28-shots in the win, while Jody Jaman took the loss in the Kindersley cage facing 30.

With the win, the Terriers improve to 9-13-0-0 on the season.
