Efforts underway to aid injured Conquest firefighter

The community of Conquest is raising funds for a local firefighter who was injured in his home.

CONQUEST - A community is coming together to support an injured first responder after a terrible in-home accident.

Aaron Shaw, a local firefighter with the Conquest Fire Department, was injured by fire in his Conquest home on January 4.

Shaw was transported to a hospital in Edmonton to be treated for his burn injuries, and he remains in good spirits and wanting to return home as soon as possible.

In the meantime, as Shaw requires extensive medical care, residents of the village of Conquest are supporting a number of initiatives 小蓝视频 organized by the local fire crew to raise money for him.

A burger night was held at the rink on January 17 in support of Shaw, and the Conquest Co-op store is also accepting financial donations. On top of that, the public can also donate online by e-transfer by emailing [email protected].

All donations will be given to the family on January 30.
