Willy’s Wonderkids and Matt’s Silly Talkers ended up with records of 2-1, but Willy’s Wonderkids was given the win because of a head-tohead win over matt’s Silly Talkers, Trofimenkoff explained. The two other teams, Kent’s Kokanee Rangers and Dale’s Rippin’ Rangers had records of 1-2.

On the winning team, which had Terry Wilson as the captain, were: Riley Mydonick, Robin Ludba, Curtis Baillie, Kale Lajeunesse, Ted Bradley, Clayton Ludba, Bryan Harder, Burton Jones, Kevin Kitchen, Dustin Nielsen and Jamie Tratch.

Sean Kolodziejski was named best forward; Tyler Ostoforoff, best defensive player, and James Trofimenkoff the best goalie.

Carson Dennis was presented with the Ken Wasiliw Memorial Sportsmanship Award in memory of Ken Wasyliw. The award is presented to the person who best embodies what the Canora Flames Tournament is all about.

Candace and Mike Doogan made great food available for the players and fans and Bob Pysemny worked the clock for the whole tournament, Trofimenkoff said.
