Maulers go 0-3 in weekend games

Maulers will play host to the Notre Dame Hounds Nov. 21 and the Saskatoon Contacts in back-to-back matches Nov. 23 and 24 at Westland Arena.

YORKTON – The Kinsmen Maulers suffered three losses in a row in subsequent games Nov. 15, 16 and 17.

The Maulers hosted the Tisdale Trojans Friday night at Westland Arena, coming away from the match with a 3-2 loss.

The two mauler goals of the game came by way of Theron Watteyne. The first during a power play effort in the second period and another in the third period.

Casson Silbernagel was in net for the Maulers, blocking 30 of the 33 shots against.

In back-to-back matches against the Moose Jaw Warriors Nov. 16 and 17 at Westland Arena, the Maulers came away with two goals apiece coming with Tanner Wiens scoring in the second period of the first game and Layne McKechnie in the first period of the second game.

Both games ended in a score of 7-1 for the Warriors.

Reid Schweitzer was the Maulers' netminder for the first game, saving 26 of the 33 shots against.

Casson Silbernagel was in net for the second game, saving 39 of 46 shots.
