Two Kamsack athletes win bronze at Saskatoon track-and-field event

Two members of the Kamsack Track and Field Club returned from the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Indoor Track and Field Championships in Saskatoon with bronze medals.

            Two members of the Kamsack Track and Field Club returned from the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Indoor Track and Field Championships in Saskatoon with bronze medals.

            Cadence Campeau and Petrie Whitehawk, who are members of the Kamsack club which is coached by Chantel and Kevin Kitchen, competed in the bantam category in four events.

Campeau competed in the 800-metre and 150-metre races, long jump and shot put, said information from the club. She earned bronze medals in both the 800-metre and 150-metre races.

Whitehawk, who had competed in high jump, long jump and the 60-metre and 150-metre races, earned a fourth place finish in the 60-metre race and a bronze medal in the high jump event.
