The Sacred Heart senior team heads out on the road for their quest for a provincial 9-man football title. SHHS began last weekend with a tight win over Melville (see Page B1). This weekend's matchup takes them to Melfort. Melfort currently holds a record of 7-0 and have scored 301 points through the regular season and club is undefeated heading into the game.
The Lady Saints of Sacred Heart soccer will play for a provincial championship beginning this Friday at 9 a.m.. The Lady Saints qualified with a win last weekend at the regionals that saw them beat Humboldt.
The Yorkton Harvest came off a pair of losses over the weekend against the Saskatoon Blazers at the Farrell Agencies Arena. They are right back at it tonight when they take on the Tisdale Trojans tonight (Wednesday) at the Farrell Agencies Arena. Tisdale is currently holding onto second spot in the SMAAAHL with 15 points. Following the game, Yorkton heads out on the road for three games in two weeks, starting in Moose Jaw on Nov. 5-6.
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Terriers were scheduled to play last night against Humboldt and then are out on the road for the next five games, stopping in Estevan, Flin Flon, Nipawin, Kindersley, the Batttlefords and Weyburn. The team returns home on Nov.18.
The YRHS football season came to an end last Wednesday night at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field. The teams will be holding their annual awards dinner and banquet late next month at the St. Mary's Ukrainian Cultural Centre.
