Sixteen teams compete in cribbage in the seniors’ 55 Plus games

There were sixteen teams participating in the regional cribbage category of the Parkland Valley district in the Saskatchewan Senior Fitness 55 Plus games. The cribbage games were hosted by the Sturgis READ Club on February 25.

            There were sixteen teams participating in the regional cribbage category of the Parkland Valley district in the Saskatchewan Senior Fitness 55 Plus games.

The cribbage games were hosted by the Sturgis READ Club on February 25.

            "The sixteen teams featured players from Sturgis, Preeceville, Hyas, Stenen and Yorkton," said Betty Lou Skogen, one of the organizers.

            The Preeceville Club 60 was scheduled to host the shuffleboard games on Monday, and whist on Tuesday.

            The Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association is a volunteer, non-profit organization formed in 1984 in response to the need for an activity program for people 50 years and older.

            The program provides regular physical, cultural, social and intellectual activities. The benefits include enhanced activity, improved physical activity and self esteem, better physical and metal health and increased energy.
