聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 A Kamsack hockey player has signed with the Spokane Chiefs and is committed to playing in the Western Hockey League.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Chiefs announced on July 21 that Logan Foster of Kamsack, a 1999-born forward, had signed a standard player agreement. He was the Chiefs鈥 seventh round (146th overall) selection in the 2014 WHL bantam draft.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e are thrilled to add another valuable player to our organization in Logan Foster,鈥 said Tim Speltz, the Chiefs鈥 general manager. 鈥淟ogan has continued to develop as we hoped he would when we drafted him in 2014.
鈥淗e has earned an opportunity to compete for a spot on this year鈥檚 roster and we are excited to have him.鈥
Last season, with the Tisdale Trojans of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, Foster punched in 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points in 42 games, said information on the Chiefs鈥 webpage. He added three goals and three assists in six playoff games.
The five-foot-10-inch, 170-pound forward also competed for his province at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, pitching in two assists in seven games.
