The Yorkton Gridders continued their season Sunday afternoon with a game against the PW Griffins.
They fell by a 8-6 score. Head coach Jason Farrell said the team was flat.
The Griffins scored a touchdown and added a two point convert, he said. Yorkton scored a touchdown but fell short on the convert attempt.
"It was a frustrating game to watch," Farrell said.
What that means now is that Yorkton's final two games will be absolutely critical.
If the team has any hopes of making the playoffs, Farrell explained, they will need nothing less than two wins to get there.
He added that The loss to the Griffins was tough because Farrell said they had a great week of practices. He added that both aspects of the game could not get anything going. He hinted that things should come together better on the weekend. "We have to win the next two games," he said.
Game time on Saturday is 10:30 a.m., at YRHS Field.
