The Bantam UCT Yorkton Terriers played the AA Hurricanes on Oct. 26 in Regina.
Yorkton got two goals from Steven Ste. Marie and one from Turner Ottenbreit in a 3-0 shutout win on the road. Ottenbreit also added an assist on the game's opening goal by Ste. Marie and Tanner Mak and Caleb Suter rounded out the assists.
The relatively disciplined hockey game saw 34 minutes in penalty time dished out.
Yorkton goaltender Colby Entz recorded the shutout.
On Oct. 29, a game between Yorkton and the AA Senators saw the goal totals add up a bit more.
The final score went the other way in comparison to the Hurricane game.
The Senators cranked out three goals in the second period cruising to a 6-4 win in front of the crowd at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
Kylan Shea scored at 8:29 of the opening period which tied the game at 1-1. Mak and Josh Rohatynsky drew the assists as the teams headed to the dressing rooms even at a goal apiece.
Five goals came in the second period, two for Yorkton, three for the Senators. Rohatynsky scored to give Yorkton a brief lead at 14:55 from Mak and Chance Patterson but Regina would score twice quickly to take a 3-2 lead.
Yorkton drew even when Jake Holinaty tied it at 3-3, but the Senators would get that back before the end of the period and added two more in the third to round out a 6-4 win.
