Due to the easing of restrictions, tables have been returned to the concession area at the Broda Sportsplex in Kamsack.

KAMSACK - Keeping Kamsack and area residents informed, this recreation report is presented by Town of Kamsack Recreation Director Stephen Dutcheshen. 

Keep the spirit of the Duck Mountain Loppet alive

The is hosting a cross-country ski virtual loppet on February 25. The outdoor event encourages participants to engage on their own time in a personal challenge between Friday morning February 25 and dusk on Sunday, February 27. Participants are invited to ski anywhere from 5 to 45 km as was done in the traditional "in-person" loppet and share photos on the club’s Facebook page.

Kamsack Minor Hockey

Feb 23 and 24 is minor hockey camp at the .

Saturday Feb 26 hockey games:

U9 #1 team @ 11:00 AM

U7 Tournament

Curling

Feb 23-25 there will be no curling as the ice is 小蓝视频 resurfaced.

Cross Country Skiing

Cross-country ski trails in the Kamsack orchard and sports grounds are still 小蓝视频 groomed for public use and will be for a while yet with all the snow we have.

Also, with all the great snow we have, make sure to check out the ski hill at Duck Mountain Provincial Park. It’s always a good idea to check the Facebook page to make sure they are open, as they will close all ski services if the weather is too cold. They have great ski and snowboard rentals if needed, as well as a tube run for kids. It is also a great place to head for food.

Spider-Man ‘No Way Home’ will be playing on February 25 and 26. Doors open at 7 pm. Movie starts at 7:30 pm.

Archery

River Valley Archery Club runs Thursdays and Fridays for members only, but they are always accepting new members. Please visit the club’s for more info.

Indoor Soccer

Indoor soccer is still on every Friday at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute starting at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome and it is free to play – you just have to show up. Grab your friends and come out for some exercise!

Looking ahead to Summer Swimming

The will soon be looking to hire trained lifeguards for the summer. Anyone interested must be 15 years of age or older. All programs are now 小蓝视频 offered through the Life Saving Society.
