KAMSACK

KAMSACK - The Kamsack RCMP responded to 72 calls from March 6  to March 13. This included a few 911 Act calls, five mental health related calls, two animal calls, two breach of peace calls, eleven mischief calls and an assault, among other occurrences.

Can I help?

On March 9, Kamsack RCMP were dispatched to a call of a vehicle that had gotten stuck in Kamsack. The tow truck driver arrived on scene. When he parked his tow truck and walked up to the vehicle, four individuals got into his tow truck and drove it around the block. They eventually got to the other side of the street and attempted to back the vehicle into the stuck vehicle to provide assistance. Doing this caused the tow truck itself to get stuck in a snow bank. Once the driver realized it was his tow truck, he advised the teens to get out of his truck and they ran off on foot. Kamsack RCMP members made foot and vehicle patrols, no one was located. If you are so inclined to help someone get their vehicle out of a sticky situation, please don’t just hop into a tow truck or any vehicle that does not belong to you. Attempt to push or shovel the snow to assist the vehicle in moving from its obstruction.

Another Day Another Deer

Kamsack RCMP members received a call on March 6 of two dogs that killed a deer. Members got the deer removed and the dogs were taken back to their owner.

Nothing broken or entered

Kamsack RCMP members received a call of a break and enter in progress occurring in Kamsack. Members rushed to the scene, the front door was locked and no one was anywhere to be found. When the door was opened, members were greeted by the caller. It turns out he just heard noises on the roof and thought someone was trying to break in. Thankfully it was a false alarm.

Horse Aid

Kamsack RCMP attended a residence due to a call of a starving horse on March 10. Members were on scene with an animal protection officer. Members assisted the animal protection officer to seize the horse so that it could then be cared for.
