Kamsack RCMP are warning residents about deer.

KAMSACK — We have been doing so well with the deer recently, compare to the start of the weather getting warmer. On July 5, a male motorist struck a deer on Highway 57 in the early afternoon. Luckily the driver was OK.

Missing person

Information from RCMP in Burnaby B.C., told Kamsack RCMP that there was a missing adult male from their area currently in Kamsack’s jurisdiction. Members attended a rural location and spoke with the property owner who advised members that the male was working for him and he is definitely not missing. Members spoke with the “missing” male as well, determined that he was doing fine, and updated the RCMP in B.C.

Speeding

Kamsack RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle driving at high speeds in a parking lot almost hitting a male. The male in question refused to provide a statement on the matter but wanted the driver talked to. As we had the vehicle information and plate, the driver was tracked to their address where they were issued a warning by Kamsack RCMP.

Double trouble

A curfew check on a female during the night shift was conducted by Kamsack RCMP. The female was not at her residence and was then put on warrant for breaching her condition. Later in the month the female attended court for a different matter where the warrant was then executed for breaching her conditions.

Stats

Kamsack RCMP responded to 75 calls from July 3 to July 10. This included: six mischief calls, three animal calls, six disturbing the peace calls, two theft calls, three suspicious person calls, four false alarms, five mental health-related calls, as well as a handful of other occurrences.
