Twelve members of the Canora Keen Age Centre who celebrated their birthdays in July or August were honoured at a barbecue social on August 2.

The season ended for the Canora Supers senior baseball club on July 22 at the Al Sapieha Field in Canora.

June 23, 1956 July 25, 2015, beloved husband of Colleen Summers of Madge Lake, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home, at the age of 59 years. Bill was born in Saskatoon to Rodney and Isabel Summers.

Jerry Danyluk, beloved husband of Millie Danyluk of Canora, passed away at the Canora Hospital on August 3, 2015, at the age of 66 years. Jerry was born on January 3, 1949 in Canora, SK to Steve and Evelyn (Maier) Danyluk.

Ted Palagian passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 16, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

At the age of 94 years, Lillian Ortynsky passed away at the Canora Gateway Lodge on July 28, 2015. Lillian was born in the Mikado District on October 11, 1920 to Paul and Anna (Senkiw) Gogal. She attended school near Mikado.

BARON - Russell Baron passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on June 26, 2015, at the age of 76 years. Russell was born in Canora, SK on September 9, 1938 to William and Katie (Babchishin) Baron.
