Rainbow Hall was the place to be for Canora Halloween fun

At the Halloween Howl on Oct. 28, 50-plus children came out for Halloween fun which included pumpkin carving and kicking up their heels on the dance floor.

CANORA - A pair of Halloween-themed dance were hosted at Rainbow Hall just before the big day to provide Canora and area residents with some Halloween fun.

On Oct. 28, the Rainbow Hall Committee hosted the Halloween Howl. According to reports, approximately 50 children came out to enjoy the festivities.

Festivities started with pumpkin carving, as well as games and a scavenger hunt.

A costume parade followed, giving everyone the opportunity to show off their Halloween attire.

Then came the dance, with music provide by Kyle & Katherine Prokopetz. The young and some not-so-young enjoyed kicking up their heel on the dance floor.

Other workers who made the evening possible were: Lorie Wasyliw, Floreen Haskewich, Ben Korol and Dave Rathgeber.

On Oct. 29, the Canora Rainbow Hall Committee hosted a more adult-oriented Halloween dance, with live music provided by the Zayshley Band. Many guests arrived in full Halloween costumes.

The menu included: pulled pork, mashed potatoes, meatballs in mushroom sauce, and trifle for dessert.
