Volleyball
The Invermay Eagles volleyball teams have been busy these last few weeks with tournaments and games. The junior boys and junior girls teams hosted their home tournament on Sept. 14. The junior boys won their tournament and the junior girls played hard and tough but came in second against Keeseekoose, losing by only a couple of points.
Then the junior boys and girls played in Norquay on Sept. 17, in Kamsack on Sept. 18, had a home game against Preeceville on Sept. 23, and were in Sturgis on Sept. 25. The junior. volleyball teams have played hard and won many of their games.
The Eagles senior girls volleyball team had a good start, placing third in the Preeceville tournament on Sept. 14, facing Preeceville, Sturgis, Quill Lake, and Ituna. Later on in September, the girls went to Foam Lake for a mini-tournament where they played Foam Lake and Wynyard. Both games were losses, but it was a great chance for all the Invermay girls to get on the court and improve their play. Their last action of the month was against Canora with three wins out of five sets, again improving every time with everyone getting in on the success. The senior girls upcoming schedule is as follows:
- Oct. 19 Home Tournament
- Oct.22 Kamsack @ Invermay
- Oct. 26 Canora Tournament
- Nov. 1st and 2nd Conferences
