On Tuesday, November 21, 2017 a group of students from the Yorkton Regional High聽聽 School had the opportunity to travel to Regina to partake in The Canadian Western Agribition. After arriving at Agribition the YRHS students were able to take part in the Think Ag Career Expo. Before the the YRHS students started the educational sessions, lunch was provided by Cargill. At the beginning of the session the students first were asked to answer survey questions about their current knowledge in agriculture and share with the group. Then 小蓝视频 split into smaller groups, were able to attend different work stations, focusing on many different professions in agriculture. Students had the pleasure of learning about Agronomy, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, and so much more. The YRHS students would like to thank Agriculture In The Classroom for allowing them to participate in these information sessions. Students then had a few hours of free time to explore the many different displays and barns at Agribition. This allowed them to consider job opportunities and further learn about the agriculture industry. Lastly, to end off the entertaining and educational day, the students attended the night鈥檚 main event, Jousting. On behalf of the YRHS students we would like to thank the locally owned and operated聽聽 Grain Millers for sponsoring the bus ride to and from Regina, as well as Cargill for the lunch and Agriculture In The Classroom for the educational part of the day. Experiencing Agribition allowed the students to explore, analyze, and grasp the many different aspects of agriculture, and how it has an effect on everyday life, locally and globally.
