The Yorkton Regional 4-H Beef Show and Sale has long been held the opening day of the Yorkton Summer Fair. That was again the case last week, as 4-H members from clubs across the local region took to the Agri-pavilion show ring.

That was again the case last week, as 4-H members from clubs across the local region took to the Agri-pavilion show ring. The steer entry from Michelle Hordos of the Serath 4-H Club was chosen Grand Champion. It would sell to Yorkton Dodge for $4.60 per pound ($5,731.60). Ava Loveridge with the Neudorf 4-H Beef Club had the Reserve Champion Steer. It sold to a group including Larry Hanowski, Royal LePage, Ray and Linda Krupski, Fred Loveridge, Kathy Pillar and Dale Pillar for $3.40 per pound, or $3,971.20. The overall sale saw 60 steers sell for $166.440.
