YORKTON - The top-rated team in the nation rolled into the Westland Insurance Arena Friday, and early on the local Junior Terriers appeared as though a minor upset might be in the offing.
Dylan Ruptash started scoring in the SJHL contest 1:12 into the opening period to give the host Terriers an early lead.
At 2:45 Jeff Hammond scored to make it 2-0.
Anthony Domina made it 3-0 at 5:56.
The three quick Terrier goals chased Bomber starting goaltender Kenneth Marquart from the crease in favour of Harmon Laser-Hume.
The goaltending change steadied things for the visitors, as Justin Lies scored the only other goal of the first period to make it 3-1 at 8:20.
Only one goal was scored in the second frame, an unassisted powerplay effort by Adam McNutt at 16:42 to draw Flin Flon within one.
It took only 1:04 into the third for Koen Senft to tie the game 3-3.
And then Lies scored his second of the game, a marker at 7:16 to complete the Bomber comeback and solidifying a 4-1 win.
Laser-Hume stopped all 21-shots he faced for the win.
Ethan Farrow took the loss in the Terrier nets facing 31-shots.
The two teams will meet again Sunday in Yorkton – for a rare 5 p.m. start time.
