REGINA — The Queen City Exhibition is back and better than ever. Running from July 31 to Aug. 4, the 2024 QCX promises unforgettable fun for families and friends.
Here are essential tips to ensure you have the best experience possible at Saskatchewan’s premier summer fair.
Weather Preparedness
Saskatchewan’s weather can change in an instant. Be prepared for bright sun, rain and lightning. Check the forecast regularly and dress in layers to stay comfortable.
Stay Hydrated
With potentially overwhelming summer temperatures, staying hydrated is crucial. Drink plenty of water and take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas, like the Brandt Centre, which will be open daily as a cooling zone. Multiple water stations on the REAL campus are available for filling water bottles.
Sunscreen is a Must
Saskatchewan is Canada’s sunniest province, making sunscreen essential. Apply it regularly to prevent sunburns, especially if you plan to be active outdoors. Protect yourself and your loved ones by reapplying as needed.
Enjoy Indoor Activities
Escape the heat by enjoying the many indoor activities at QCX. Visit the Marketplace for shopping, catch stage shows, participate in magic acts and savour new and delicious food. Don’t miss the Pile o’ Bones Rodeo at the Brandt Centre.
Live Music at the Original 16 Stage
QCX offers nightly concerts under the clear Saskatchewan sky, featuring a variety of music genres from symphony to rock. Arrive early at Confederation Park to get the best spot. Concerts are included in your admission, and Fan Zone tickets can be purchased at the gates.
Gate Entry Tips
To streamline your entry, travel light. If you don’t need a bag, skip it and use the express entrance. Bags and coolers are allowed but subject to inspection. Buying your passes in advance will also speed up your entrance. Advance tickets are available at .
Transportation and Parking
Regina Transit offers free rides with your QCX admission pass, making it easy to avoid parking hassles. If you choose to drive, parking on-site is $15.
Security and Prohibited Items
REAL prioritizes safety with upgraded security measures, including walk-through metal detectors and bag searches. Prohibited items include outside alcohol, glass containers, noisemakers, drones, pets (except service animals) and more. Lawn chairs are allowed only on July 31 for the RSO performance.
