REGINA - The next phase of the Dewdney Avenue Revitalization Project is under way and some restrictions are taking effect this week.
Starting Sept. 3 construction begins focusing on water and sewer work at the Albert and Dewdney intersection, with the work taking place 28 feet underground.
The city states that Albert Street is going to be closed between 8th and 9th Avenue, including the Dewdney intersection, with minimal traffic allowed on one southbound lane. Meanwhile, Dewdney Avenue is closed from Angus Street to McIntyre Street.
Despite the disruptions, the Warehouse District remains open for business and the public is encouraged to continue to support those venues. They can be accessed from the Broad Street side of Dewdney, with parking available at Dewdney and Scarth Street, and there will be additional signage in the area.
