REGINA - A man is facing charges following a report of a robbery in Regina.
On Aug. 8, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the 5000 block of Sherwood Drive for a report of a robbery in progress. Officers were informed that the victim had been assaulted by a man and had items stolen.
Police located the victim, who had minor injuries, and were given a suspect description of a man who had fled the scene.
Later that evening, police located a man matching the description of the suspect in the area of Nagel Crescent.
As a result, a 24 year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery.
The accused was scheduled to make his first appearance on this charge at Regina Provincial Court on Aug. 9.
