Moose Jaw kicks off street sweeping program with cleanup in zone 1

MOOSE JAW — Moose Jaw’s annual street cleaning program has kicked off for another year and, new this year, locations will follow garbage collection zones to provide more efficient operations and better communications with residents.

, which includes neighbourhoods west of Ninth Avenue Northwest and south of Grace Street.

The streets that the city will clean on April 23 include:

  • Athabasca Street West from Ninth Avenue Northwest to 16th Avenue Northwest
  • Brown Street from Ninth Avenue Northwest to Albert Street
  • Francis Street from Ninth Avenue Northwest to Simpson Avenue
  • Hall Street West from Ninth Avenue Northwest to 11th Avenue Northwest
  • Hopkins Crescent from Grayson Crescent to Albert Street
  • Montgomery Street from Ninth Avenue Northwest to 14th Avenue Northwest

The streets that the city will clean on Thursday, April 24 include:

  • 11th Avenue Northwest from Grace Street to Stadacona Street
  • 13th Avenue Northwest from Grace Street to Stadacona Street
  • 15th Avenue Northwest from Caribou Street to Stadacona Street
  • Grayson Crescent from Grace Street to Albert Street
  • Hochelaga Street from Ninth Avenue Northwest to 16th Avenue Northwest
  • Stadacona Street from Ninth Avenue Northwest to 16th Avenue Northwest

 The city is also offering reminders to residents to ensure that street cleaning operations are successful:

  • Watch for orange cones and signs in the street/parking lane to advise of upcoming operations on your street
  • Do not park on the street from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during operations on your street
  • Pass on the information to your neighbours

The city reminds residents to stay away from working crews and follow all temporary signage for everyone’s safety because it wants no more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
